CONFIDENTIALITY
Everything you share during your counselling sessions and in any communication with me remains totally confidential. No information about you will be given to any other person without your express written permission except in a very few exceptional circumstances which I will explain to you. I keep brief handwritten notes on each client in a locked filing cabinet. They serve only as an aide memoir for me and are not available to anyone else. I do not keep any information on a computer except what you email to me.
Back to TopSUPERVISION
All reputable and accredited counsellors are required by their professional bodies to work under supervision. I attend supervision sessions regularly and talk about my work with each client, usually using their first name only (if you prefer, I can use a different name). My supervisor monitors my work and helps me to work in the best possible way with and for each client - so supervision works as a kind of quality control mechanism for you!
